Craig Callihan - Personal Insurance Advisor
Craig grew up in Brownwood, a small town known for high school football and legendary coach, Gordon Wood. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky. During his time in Lexington, Craig worked as part of the Men's Basketball program as a student assistant and was part of the 2010 SEC Championship team that made a run to the Elite 8 which included several future NBA All-Stars.
Craig then earned his master's degree from Texas A&M in 2016, where he had previously met his wife, Kristen, on campus at Reed Arena. Craig and his wife now live outside of Fort Worth with their young daughter (Kennedy) and son (James) where they are active in their church, Lakeside Baptist.
Prior to joining the Smith Allen team, Craig spent over seven years in public education teaching Special Education in both Granbury and Stephenville school districts. As a Special Education teacher, his primary role was assisting students with autism. While teaching, he was also able to fulfill his passion for basketball by coaching high school boys and girls. His favorite memory as a coach was winning the district title after losing his best player to injury during the middle of the season.
Craig's extensive coaching and teaching experience has given him an understanding of how to support, manage and encourage people's expectations, goals and overall well-being. Craig is excited about bringing his passion for educating others to help facilitate the process for your insurance needs!
